Hi Appeon Team,

We are on PowerBuilder 2022 R3 Build 3305, We use GIT source control, my credentials were working fine when I login into bitbucket but when I try to connect to GIT repository from PowerBuilder, I am receiving an error, "Cannot connect to the repository, please make sure you have specified the correct user ID, and password.". I tried with bitbucket password as well as with bitbucket token(App passwords) and even tried creating a new token(App passwords) but unable to connect to GIT. Requesting you to suggest an work around for this. Please find the attached screen print.

Thanks,

Subbiya

Hi Subbiya;

  Please check your PB Version & Build number as there is no build # 3305. Thanks.

Weird .. that build does not show up ... https://www.appeon.com/update

The only production build out for R3 right now is 3289.

Hi Chris,

I suddenly have the same issue as Subbiya.

I say suddenly because I have connected before this, from IDE and PBAutoBuild.

My 2022 R3 build is 3356.

I committed the source to MAIN repo, and GIT looks OK.

I am listed as a Contributor.

I twice created a new classic token but connection still failed. Error Code 403.

I am not sure if this is a PB or GIT issue, but any insight would be appreciated.

Regards,

Stan

Hi Stan;

Any other PB developers in your organization having this issue?

An HTTP/S 403 error is a "no permission" issue. You would need to contact your GIT / Network support team to resolve this error.

Hi Chris,

The problem went away once I resolved my GIT password issue (not the repo token).

Currently, I am the only PB developer using GIT. The others use Serena PVCS.

All will be migrating to GIT shortly.

Much Thanks,

Stan
