Hi Friends,

I've got a datawindow that I use for query... in my code, I stop after every 250 rows and ask user if they want to retrieve more.

I was editing the datawindow, and it automatically retrieves EVERYTHING... over 200,000 rows.  The message at the bottom of the dw designer window says "Press CANCEL to end retrieve"... I can't find the CANCEL button anywhere!

Does anyone know where the CANCEL button is?

TIA,
~~~Tracy
H, Tracy -
I believe the "Retrieve" toolbar button doubles as the "Cancel" button during the auto-retrieve of the preview pane.
You are right... the icon doesn't even change... and until the dw finishes retrieving, the dw doesn't show anything, so the RMB doesn't work.
The answer was given above... use the toolbar Retrieve button (even though the icon doesn't change) to cancel.
Hi Tracy;
   I see that this is a bug in both the DB Painter and the DW Painter - there does not seem to be a Cancel CB to press as per the message in the micro-help area.
   In the older PB IDE's, the Retrieve CB transformed itself into a "Cancel" while rows were still in progress. So the state of the Retrieve CB changed for that period. Interestingly enough, the Appeon PB IDE's Retrieve CB's state does change - its just that the CB's icon does not reflect the mode change into a cancel. However, the CB is in a cancel mode while Rows are Pending. So if you press the Retrieve CB while rows are in progress, you will see that the result set is canceled.    ;-)
   Please open a support ticket for this issue.
Regards ... Chris
