I am pretty sure I know the answer, but I was wondering if PB2018 and R3 could be installed side-by-side. The reason is that we have shipped our 2018 release in PB2018 but we want to start developing our 2019 release in PB2018 R3 so as to utilize its new features. Our clients, though, are not fans of installing new DKs for EBFs. So when we ship EBF1 for our 2018 release, it would need to be under PB2018.

I know we can install/uninstall development, but that's a pain.

Thanks in advance!

Are you referring to 2017 or 2017 R2?  2018 won't be released until the end of this year.

Generally, revisions to a major version don't co-exist.  Major versions can.  So any of the 2017 series (R1, R2 and R3) could co-exist with 2018, but they wouldn't work well with each other on the same machine.

Ugh, sorry. I meant 2017 and 2017 R3. I have too many releases of my own going on.

So, will PB2017 and PB2017 R3 be able to run side-by-side? Yeah, I thought that was the answer. I will have to muscle my clients to take a new DK, that's all.
