How do add a Workspace to the source control?

The documentation says:

Right-click the workspace in the System Tree and select Add to Source Control from the pop-up menu.

BU i have no such entry in my popup

Ferdinand Fischer I have te same problem, no 'add to source control' option in the workspace menu, did you find a solution?
Are the some, undocumented, requirements before u can use this option?

I am using PowerBuilder Version 2017 R2 Build 1769

I found the option, it is only available in the 'system tree' and not in the 'Library painter'.

You need to have selected a WORKSPACE in the system tree. Then the PROPERTIES option will be displayed, and from there the next popup will include the SOURCE CONTROL tabpage.

Hi Bruce;



   That is an issue when you do not have a consistent GUI interface in PB for SCC handling.



How do you like new approach vs embedding the new GIT/SVN support under the old SCC menus we have known since PB 8?

It's a learning curve, but I'm adjusted.  FWIW, it does show up under workspace properties after you've added the workspace to source control.  It's just the initial add that takes adjusting to.

And you're on PowerBuilder 2017 R2, which came out yesterday, correct?

Yes i am on R2 and i did uninstall R1 before installing R2.

And does the splash screen show R2 when it opens?







It's working for me.





 



If so, I'd open a support case with Appeon.  It would appear to be an issue specific to your install.
