I have a crosstab datawindow, and i want to change the Totals column to the left because the results of the datawindow are many and the totals columns are shown on a different page.

I want to show my totals column next to the first column.

It is only possible if "Rebuild columns at Runtime" in Crosstag dialog is unchecked. In this case the columns are defined at design and fix.

Try this:

- Check that "Column Moving" is checked on General Tab in datawindow properties.

- In Preview pane: Use the mouse to move the column to the position you want. This should automatically move the column in Design pane.

If the number of columns is variable and should defined at runtime this, you can't uncheck the "Rebuild columns at Runtime". In this case it will not work.

Hi Rene ... this procedure would work for a GRID DWO but not a CrossTab. While it does work in the preview pave of the CT, it does not affect the design pane and upon the next retrieve, the CT DWO preview pane will return to it's original display format.

Hi Chris...you are right. If "Rebuild Column at Runtime" ist checked it is not working. If it is unchecked it will work.

I will enhance my reply.

We choose crosstab DW, mostly, if there is variable no. of columns. If we know the columns (or fixed columns) it will be better to choose Tabular / Grid DW rather than crosstab DW. IMO.

No. IMO.

If possible, it will be useful.   Let's see if any other member could come out with a way to achieve this.
