Hi all,

On my menu toolbar, I have an icon for the Navigator, it's a globe icon.  When I set the ToolbarItemName on a menu item, I have the option to select Built-In image, All Images, Custom.  The one I use for the navigator is Custom042a!  But when I try to set the icon for the window, the Custom option isn't there.  I copied the name from the menu item, Custom042a!, but that doesn't render the right icon.

Using PB2022 R2, MDI frame TabbedView checked.

Why can't I select a built-in custom icon for windows?

~~~Tracy
Those are bitmaps, not icons.
Which ones are bitmaps, not icons? Menu Built-In images? Still doesn't explain why I can't select the same image for my window. Either way, both require a *.ico image.
The easiest way to tell is open pbvm.dll with Resource Hacker. When you find the one you want to use, export it to a file.
Hi, Tracy -
Traditional toolbar icons are typically sized pretty small, 16x16 (pixels), I believe and application icons are sized larger, and PB does not provide the larger sized icons built in to the product. Application icons have to have a file extension of .ico, I believe (at least they used to), and toolbar images use other (i.e., non-ico) graphics formats.
Best regards, John
Still not understanding why I can't use PB built-in Custom images for my windows. I can select several other images for my window, just not Custom. The message I'm getting from the responses is that the image I want, Custom042a! is actually a bitmap and not an icon?
