Resolved Automating Powerbuilder upgrades.

Im looking for any "HOW TO" video to automate our upgrade process.

 

I have updated to Powerbuilder 2019 R3

 

We currently run the simple "Copy" of EXE, PBDs to and from the network file folders to local computers (including citrix) when upgrades are needed.  The application is old school client/server, We have never found a workable automated solution.

Use the new PowerClient feature of PB 2019 R3, included in Professional or CloudPro Edition.

It has been through rigorous beta testing, so even though it is brand spanking new feature I think you will find it is quite polished.

By the way, additional benefit of PowerClient is that it strengthens your app security.  The client application is encrypted, digitally signed, and verified for integrity before executing.
