My query is -
Are vulnerabilities CVE-2021-44790 and CVE-2021-44224 issues impacting the PowerBuilder Application?

Is there any way to know the impact of CVE-2021-44790 and CVE-2021-44224 in PowerBuilder Application?

My Application is running on PowerBuilder 2017 R3.

Thanks

Prabal

Hi Prabal,

Both vulnerabilities you mention affect the Apache HTTP Server, so they don't directly affect PowerBuilder or any of our products I believe.
Now, I don't know if you use Apache HTTP Server for any of your activities, in which case you'd have to review that separately; but as far as our products go there's no issue.

Regards,
Francisco

Ahhh, now I understand! I just blindly assumed the question was about the latest vulnerabilities.

Sorry Francisco, I'll have to read better next time.

regards.

In that case, I take back what I said (I'M KIDDING!) - But, all kidding aside, I very much appreciate the quality and quantity of assistance you give to everyone.

Hi Prabal;

 No, never as the Appeon PB runtime never included Log4J. This security bulletin only affects the IDE. Even the IDE no longer uses Log4J. It's an old leftover from the Sybase version of PB when PB could build JSP web pages for EAServer

HTH
