Hi all,

I've always had to install a few dll's to get the runtime to work... and still do it out of a 20-year habit!

ATL100.dll
MSVCP100.dll
MSVCR100.dll

I'm wondering if those dll files are needed? I'm developing with PB 2019 R3 Build 2728.  I used the Appeon PowerBuilder Runtime Packager to build the PB runtime engine installer... were those files included in the msi package?  I did select most options and included the Database drivers my app uses. Hard to test on my machine as I don't know what other applications use those dlls.

Is any of this documented in the On-line Product Manuals? If so, I couldn't find it.

Tia,
~~~Tracy
Hi, Tracy -
Open PB Help from the IDE, Click on the "Index" tab. Enter "runtime files".
Thank you John! PB Help was more explicit about which dll's are needed. And sifting through the on-line manuals is very time consuming! In the end, I do need to deploy all 3 dlls. I don't know why I always go to the manuals instead of PB Help... lesson learned, start there!
Thank you! I didn't realized this feature exists! Very handy short-cut!
Dear Tracy,
For online manuals, you can try the search feature on the doc site:
Step 1: Open https://docs.appeon.com/, input "ATL100.dll" in the search box, and click the search icon.
Step 2: Instead of viewing all results, click the "PowerBuilder 2019 R3" tab (which is the last one).
Step 3: Scroll to skip the Google Ads (because it is a Google search engine) and click the doc link below to view the doc page.
Regards
Tracy Huang
