Hi

I downloaded the trial version of Powerbuilder in order to get working on modifying an existing application while the licence procurement went through. I have now upgraded to the licence version, but have an issue now with the application name as displayed on the main window after building and deploying. The name is being truncated in the exact place where the trial version used to superimpose the "Trial Verison" text over it. My theory is that it might be a bug related to having used the trial version, maybe it just blanks the Trial text out but still superimposes the blank field, rather than removing it altogether. I have even gone back to the copy of the project I had before I worked on it in the trial version and it still occurs. Has anyone else seen this issue, or know a resolution?

Thanks for replying. I tried this morning on a clean machine that had not had Powerbuilder installed previously, and it still is happening.

Did you use the (486KB) Downloadable Installer from the Downloads web page? If not, I suggest you do that. If you did, you should consider opening a free support ticket as Armeen suggested.

Hi Walter;

  In addition to John or Armeen's suggestions ... I was just looking through the Support Database and the only issues with a Window Title's text display is either: a) a non-printable character or b) a Null in the Title text. Food for thought.  HTH

Greetings, Walter - 

Since you now have a license, I suggest you de-install PB and install the normal, licensed version. Granted, you shouldn't have to do this, but obviously something is not right. This is what I would try if I were in your situation.

Hi Armeen;

FYI: Walter did open a Support Ticket and I gave him some suggestions. The issue is now resolved according to Walter. I do no know yet what Walter did specifically to resolve the issue as I am awaiting his final update on the final action taken.
