Hello,

We have run across an issue with applications that I deploy from my machine to PowerServer.  The issue is that we cannot get the attached messagebox to stop popping up when others run my IWAs from their machines.

We have tried making sure that I have the same versions of the following executables (and the rest of the directories' contents) on my machine that our server has and then re-deploying my applications:

appeoniwarunner.exe, appeoniwaserver.exe, and appeoniwashell.exe

Initially I had all newer versions.  To get the older versions back I just backed up my directories and copied in what I found on our server.  This did not fix our issue.

Are we on the right track with this?  Do I need to run an uninstall and then install the older versions?

Thanks!!

Justin

Hi Justin,

Regarding your following statement, are you trying to downgrade from a higher version of PowerServer to a lower version? Which version do you want to downgrade to? Please note that you can’t use copy and paste to downgrade PowerServer.

To downgrade PowerServer, you may try the following steps:
1. Go to AEM > Server > Resources > Maintenance to backup PowerServer configuration.
2. Uninstall the current PowerServer.
3. Install the target PowerServer.
4. Go to AEM > Server > Resources > Maintenance to import PowerServer configuration which backuped in step 1.
5. Full deploy your application to PowerServer.

Then please uninstall Appeon IWA runner from Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features on the client machine and run the application again to see if the issue is resolved.

Zhaokai

Hi Justin;

It sounds like your running a newer version of PowerServer that your IWA co-workers. If so then yes, the IWA runner infrastructure would have been updated to your PS's Instance version. The other thing is that the other IWA users might need to have "Local Admin" privileges to get the IWA pieces installed / re-installed.

Sounds like you might need to go to the Control Panel and uninstall the IWA runner installation all together, then run the IWA install again from the correct PowerServer instance (version).

Also, don't forget the remove the IWA cache(s) as well. For example:
