Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but is there a way to determine within am Appeon Mobile App if the user is connected via WiFi or 4G?

I have checked the objects in the Appeon Workarounds library, but cannot seem to find anything.

EDIT: I can determine if using Cellular or Wifi, but is there a way to tell the strength of the Cellular signal, e.g. 3G or 4G?

Currently using PB2017r3 and corresponding PB Powerserver.

Thanks

Michael

Yes you can, but it requires some work.  You need to go with solution 2 (not solution 1) that is outlined here. https://docs.appeon.com/ps2020/workarounds_and_api_guide/ch03s01.html

This is the Cordova plugin you want to use. https://www.npmjs.com/package/cordova-plugin-network-information

Thanks Armeen,

I have the app logging if there are using Wifi or Cellular using the appeon function.

I will leave it up to the client if they want further work done to integrate the Cordova element.
