Hello,

We are working on upgrading our Appeon PowerServer 2020 application to Appeon PowerServer 2022 R2. We are testing Appeon License  server to make sure our machine can connect with Appeon sites. (Internet connection and Appeon domains - - Appeon License User Guide).

When I testing the license server

I get 'This page isn't working right now. HTTP Error 405. Are the license server down or it is something else?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Jon,

As Francisco explained, you can successfully reach the licensing server.

Alternatively, you can use the following links directly in a browser:
https://apips.appeon.com/pslicense/health
https://apips2.appeon.com/pslicense/health
https://apips.appeon.net/pslicense/health
https://apips2.appeon.net/pslicense/health

Or run the following in Command Prompt:
ping apips.appeon.com
ping apips2.appeon.com
ping apips.appeon.net
ping apips2.appeon.net

Our team will improve the documentation and consider customizing the error page to make it more user-friendly.

Regards,

Tom Jiang

Hi Jon,

This is normal behavior. HTTP 405 signifies Method Not Allowed. That basically means that the specific endpoint does not support HTTP GET requests (which is what a browser does). The endpoint most like supports POST, but only the specific code that connects to it knows how to call it.

Basically, the page and error you're seeing mean you can successfully reach the licensing server.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Francisco
