Hello community.
Is there a way that the powerserver doesn't log out, after an idle time, or otherwise increase the time.

Tnks

Hi Walther;

  FWIW: You can increase the wait time(s) for sure for both the Web Server session time and DBMS time.

   The other approach is to use a "Heartbeat" feature which is basically a simple SQL command that runs on an App timer that "pings" PowerServer and the thus the DBMS in such a frequency that the WS & PS never "timeout. Food for thought.

Here's more info on how to increase the time out value for PS 2022 -> https://docs.appeon.com/ps2022/Configure_timeout_settings.html

I would go for the heartbeat approach, that way an application that crashes will not occupy a session unnecessarily. However, an idle application will keep a session alive even if it's not being used. I would also include an idle timer that tracks the application's idleness, and once it goes over certain value, it a) closes the app (and thus releases the session) or b) pauses the heartbeat timer (so that the session dies naturally)
