My colleagues and I are examining the capabilities of using Apache ECharts / Google Charts from the PB web browser control in PB 2019 R3. The demo applications provided in CodeXchange by Appeon have been very helpful in getting us started.

We're trying to determine the feasibility of displaying a geoMap of say, the United States while superimposing a scatter map of various locations, but then being able to select a region or state by clicking on the map and having it drill-down to that region/state without resorting to using a second web browser control. Has anyone accomplished this and would you be willing to provide some hints/tips on how to do it?

The ECharts web site is loaded with examples, and we've found a couple that approximate what we want, but these examples contain a non-trivial amount of Chinese and my Mandarin is woefully lacking (I have enough trouble just with English!)... even with the assistance of Google Translate.

Any hints, tips or examples are very much appreciated!

Hi John,

You might want to look at our other JS charting libraries that have better documentation/examples, such as Chart.js  The ECharts is just meant to show the technique of integrating JS charting libraries.  You should be able to display any JS chart since the control is Chromium Web browser.

Best regards,
Armeen
