While testing the performance of our application, we noticed that the PowerServer version was slower than the Client/Server version. We disabled the antivirus on the API server and noticed a performance boost.

Do you have an official recommendation regarding antivirus configuration on the server side of PowerServer?

What antivirus software did you use that was slow?

McAfee on a VMWare VM in the cloud. We are going to switch to Microsoft Defender soon.

I haven't heard issues with Microsoft Defender. Let us know when you switch if that resolves the issue.

Hi Carl;

  Suggestion:  Sounds like all you "might" need to do is "White List" PS on your API server. Food for thought.
