Hi Appeon,

Im trying to publish to a Powerserver but it requires me to have a full write access to the wwwroot folder. Internally im not allowed to do that because of the company's policy about the application publication.

my question is, is there a way that I can push to a certain folder then it'll be copied to the production server? Will it work the same way when I publish directly to wwwroot?

Thanks!

Hi Lemuel,

you can use (S)FTP to transfer the client-side installable cloud app:

https://docs.appeon.com/ps2021/Configure_the_Web_server_for_deployment.html

while you can use Web Deploy to publish the WEB APIs:

https://docs.appeon.com/ps2021/bk04ch03s06.html

Best,

.m

You can deploy the PB PowerServer project and also SnapDevelop Server APIs separately to the file system and have them copied over to the server. You need to edit the PowerServer server settings / JSON config files in SnapDevelop to adjust the server IP address, etc. to production server (before deploying).

I received an Error Code 02012: Cannot connect to powerserver

Did this mean i really need an explicit write access to the server's wwwroot?
