Resolved Adding a database driver

I have 2017 R2 installed but I would like to add a database driver that I didn't include in the initial install. I was hoping that when I run the setup.exe it would recognize that I have PB 2017 already installed (which it does) but ask if I want to update/add features (I believe the install did have this feature at one time). I now see "Remove the program" window with a radio button with only one choice "Reomve all installed features". Do I have to totally uninstall just to add a database driver that already exists in the 2017 R2 package?

Hi Dave,

The repair option is removed to avoid some of the issues it would cause to allow such a feature. We understand this feature has its value and we will consider adding it back in a future release when we figure out a better solution.  Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks Chris and Tom for your quick reply. I will uninstall and add what I am missing. Oracle is the one that has multiple versions and I'm never sure what our database group is going to add and when.

Hi Dave;

      Yes, in the Sybase & SAP installations, we could choose the option "Custom" vs full and then under the Custom installation, just pick the pissing piece(s) to add them in. In the Appeon installation that option seems to have been removed.  I would open a support ticket for this to have Engineering change the installer to allow incremental installs (aka Custom) again.

      The only avenue I see for the time being is to perform a complete uninstall / reinstall to get the driver you need. PB's DB drivers are small in size - so I would recommend selecting all the DBMS drivers upon reinstallation to avoid another "gee I wish I had that DBMS driver installed" in the future.
