I have an older application that I am supporting. The way it is installed currently, we do not lay down either of the Accessibility dlls, and we don't lay down a pb.ini file.

On most PCs where it is installed, we do not see any problem with this. On at least one PC (which happens to be a developer's PC), we see an error dialog pop up, saying: "Error Loading Library. Please check whether PowerBuilder Accessibility library can be located in the path." Once you click OK on this error dialog, everything seems to work fine.

I'm assuming there is something environmental happening where we are seeing this on one machine but not others, but I don't know how to figure out what that is.

Building with PB 2021

Hi Troy;

  This dependency was resolved (removed) in PB 2022 as by default, accessibility is off. For PB 2021 though, the PBVM always looks for the "pbacc.dll, PBAccessibility.dll" files. If the  PB.INI is deployed with the App EXE that turns this feature off, then prompting would not occur. Otherwise it will always. So prompting for this DLL would be normal. The only thing that I can think of is that some accessibility DLLs are present from another previous installation (my guess) and thus, no prompting.  HTH

Regards ... Chris
