I was attempting to follow the tutorial in PB2022 for PowerServer, using the Sales Demo app. The PowerServer project painter apparently only recognizes Sql Anywhere (ODBC) data source names if they are set up with the 64 bit ODBC Data Source Administrator. The Administrator that is used from the PB Database Profiles Utilities is the 32 bit version, and only 32 bit profiles are displayed in the PB Database Profiles dialog.  I had to start the 64bit ODBC Data Source Administrator from Windows, configure the datasource for the PB Demo DB for 64 bit platform, and only then was that datasource was available as an option in the dropdown for the datasource name in the project painter. I had already configured the same using the 32bit ODBC Data Source Administrator from within the PB DB Profile dialog, but that wasn't displayed in the dropdown.

Is this appropriate behaviour?

Hi Jim;

  Yes, that is normal as the PB IDE is 32bit and the PS "server" is 64bit.
