Our current applications are built as 32 bit and work OK with the new TX rich text control. Will the TX control support all the same functionality when compiled as a 64 bit application? This would be required to work with the latest Oracle database clients which only support 64 Bit.

TX Text Control does not make a 64-bit version of the control.  So the answer is no, when you compile to 64-bit the RichText would be different.  Other functionality of PowerBuilder would be the same.

OK...

We did migrate all of our letters from PB 8 syntax to PB 12 syntax with a few code changes. In theory we could migrate the PB 12 syntax letters to PB 2017 default syntax so we could get 64 bit applications running.

Hi James;

FYI: You might also have to tweak the RTE processing in your 64bit Apps as well as native PB App's in 64bit mode use the Microsoft rich text control. The MS RTE control has some different behaviours than either the TE or TX controls that are used in 32bit mode.
