Most chromium based utilities still allow you to pull up the DevTools (typically the F12 key). I am attempting to embed the Microsoft Monaco Editor into a WebBrowser object but I'm not having any luck and was hoping the DevTools console would give some hints. I know I've successfully embedded monaco in a WebBrowser object in the past but I can find my proof of concept from the last time I did this.

Thinking of security and JS, personally I think it's a good thing the dev tools don't work. Can you get it working first in a normal chrome browser?

Maybe I'm ignorant in what I just said, feel free to confirm :)

Yes my html file will load fine in Chrome via file:// and http://. At first I thought maybe the WebBrowser object wasn't pulling in all the dependencies via file:// so I threw it on a locally hosted webserver and it still isn't working.

I agree with you about the security aspects of allowing DevTools but you would think we could at least access it if running our code via the IDE.

Indeed, that would be a nice feature! Since I've nothing to do, I'll have a look if I can get it to work myself. I've been (successfully) using the tinymce editor with the new webbrowser control, so maybe that will give me a hint.

regards.
