Hi,

I've downloaded a trial version of PowerBuilder 2017 R3.  I've created a mobile app and tested it on my phone and it works great.  However, when I get friends to try it, two of them haven't been able to load Appeon Workspace on their android phones.  One is a Samsung Galaxy S7, and it gets the message

Can't install app

"Appeon Workspace" can't be installed.  Try again, and if the problem continues, get help troubleshooting.  (Error code: -506)

The other phone is an LG X Power 2, and it gets the message:

Your device isn't compatible with this version

Has anyone else had problems loading Appeon Workspace?  Is there a work around?

Thanks,

Monica

Android version 8.0 is not supported yet.  That is feature planned for PowerServer 2018.

Yes, after updating to PB2017R3 that contains a newer PS version as well, I was not able to run my more complex Apps on the AWS loaded from the Google Store. I just tried it as well on my Android phone that has Android v8.1.0 O/S installed and the App crashes there as well.

However, if I install AWS from my PB2017R3's local PowerServer via AEM - both my older Droid O/S based tablet and newer Droid O/S based phone run the Apps OK.

Note that Armeen is correct and Android 8.x is not yet officially supported until PS2018 is released.

Hi Monica;

   Are your friends trying to download AWS from the Google Store or via your local PowerServer?

Regards ... Chris

From the Google Store. I haven't gotten so far as to package the app up on it's own.

You do not need to ... Have your friends download and install AWS right from your PowerServer.
