Dear supporter:

     As we deploy Powerbuilder application with SNC connection for SQLSERVER2017, few PC encountered error message below to indicated that the SNC not connected, as we download and installed SQLserver SNC driver 2008, and deploy the PB2018 runtime with PBSNC170.dll file in the PB share folder and added in the system path

Hi Song;

  The native SS driver comes with the SS2017 installation. You can grab it from there. The SS native driver is version 11 that first shipped with SS2012 - not SS2008. If you are using the SS2008 vintage of the native driver - its way too old.

FYI:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/native-client/applications/installing-sql-server-native-client?view=sql-server-2017

  FWIW: I am using SS2017 & SNC with the SS v11 native driver with no issues.

Regards ... Chris

The message is similar to what you would get if you didn't deploy PBSNC170.DLL to the client along with the other PowerBuilder runtime dll files. Are you sure this isn't a message you coded in your app?
