Resolved Site enhancement request

In the absence of Email notification it would be nice to be able to see if there has been any response to posts. If a question has had a reply then you can see this on the main page (Answers 1). The problem is, there can be a whole thread of comments and replies but the number of answers stays at 1. You cannot see if there has been any action until you open the post. Date asked is fine, but a date last reply/comment would really help.

I recommended adding a STATUS field to each post a while back.

Each post would display the current status:

NEW                  No responses yet
                          (automatic)

ACTIVE               At least one response
                          (automatic)

ANSWERED        A solution MAY have been presented but has not yet been confirmed
                           (set by author)

RESOLVED        The issue is resolved
                         (set by author)

CANCELLED    The post is no longer relevant
                       (set by user)
                
               

I also think that a DELETE option would be nice to have for the Authors - right next to the EDIT button.
Heaven knows I make mistakes and sometimes just want to start over.
