Hi,

How do i run PowerClient on VPN environment?

There is a scenario where the client wants PowerClient to be hosted into the cloud server and Powerclient is more like deskstop application.

what the best way to handle this request. Am of the idea to go for VPN. Does it work?

PowerClient isn't related to database. In reality it simply hosts the latest application files. Database should be only visible to user who "install" the application hosted in powerclient to their computers. To use a server in the cloud as a deployment server, you need to have an FTP and set deployment server to a remote server. There are specific settings to be able to deploy using ftp. There is a section in help file about that ("Configuring a deployment server"). Finally, I don't understand who will use that powerclient application and why this requirement to host it in the cloud. Also, as Marcin said, where will be your database?

Andreas.

Where is the database for the application?
If it's on your LAN and the cloud server is outside your LAN then you can try with firewall rule(s) to allow database access from the cloud server IP.

Other option is a VPN as you said or some kind of app like ngrok.

Marcin

Database is Postgresql. Both application and Database are in the cloud and and using powerclient not powerserver.
