When app compiled in 64bit, InsertDocument returns -1 when trying to open HTML file

I tested with PB12.6 build 4138

Hi Yuri;

1) Are you trying to do this with a RichText DataWindow or a RichText Control?

2) What MS-Windows O/S version are you using?

3) Can you post a simple test case?

Regards .. Chris

Hi Chris,

1. RichText Control

2. Windows 7

3. li_result = rte_1.InsertDocument(ls_file, TRUE)  // ls_file is a path to simple html file.

I discovered this while trying to find alternative to MS Web Browser ActiveX. Since PB does not support 64bit ActiveX, that was last hope.

Excuse me but there is a 3rd parameter (see help doc) filetype - the default is FileTypeRichText!  - Please pass FileTypeHTML! as 3rd parameter and let us know if there is a difference

Thanks

The third parameter ( FileTypeHTML! ) does not change behavior, it returns -1
