Hello,

PB 2022 R3 build 3289

Using Kevin Riddly's PFC resize without PFC ( PFC Resize without PFC - Appeon Community )

Enabled TabbedView in the MDI.  Used OpensheetWithParm is the command to open a window.  It works fine most of the time.

Suddenly, when navigating from one window to another, either by clicking the respective tab or by using Ctrl+tab shortcut, we see that one the window goes back to its original (design time) size.  It happens randomly for every window, that we couldn't find any pattern to detect this issue.

Since no option is available (there) to maximize the window again, only way is to close and then re-open the window.

We have used this resize utility in PB 2019 R3 without any such issue [ Note: no tabbedview option ]

We are finding new issues every couple of days and it's becoming hard to debug those issues for any code bugs.  Could not downgrade, as newly developed datawindows need re-work.

Have anyone facing these weird issues?

Happiness Always
BKR Sivaprakash

Hi BKR;

  Yes unfortunately, you are only using very limited features of the framework as the Window and Controls are not being inherited. Thus, the other benefits of the framework are not being observed. Just the Application Controller's "core" features.  :-(

Hi BKR ;

   FWIW: I am not having resizing issues in my STD Framework but, it does not use any PFC code either.

   There has been a report of the resize event stopping working in a Sheet when you maximize & restore various sheets while using the Tabbed View feature. However, when I create a Template PB App using the PB IDE wizard & try to replicate that event failure, I cannot. There is a known issue where the 1st Sheet will not open Layered properly but subsequent sheets will layer OK. I believe that this last issue is already fixed & will be included in the next PB 2022 R3 MR.

  Can you create a simple PB App test case using the PB IDE's "template" wizard, add the PFC resize code that you are using to that simple test case and then have it replicate this problem? If so, please open a Support Ticket. Many thanks in advance!
Regards .. Chris

Hi BKR;

There is no exact release date yet (AFAIK) as Engineering is still working on a few issues ... but the "plan" is to hopefully try & release the 1st MR by the end of March.
