Hi Georgios,

  • Remote apps allow Windows applications to be hosted on the Cloud (e.g. Azure) and then run via RDP on the desktop as well as mobile devices, including iOS and Android devices.
  • Desktop Cloud apps are n-tier apps that support Web APIs and are compatible with popular clouds (Amazon, VMWare, etc.). They require a Web server, no DB drivers is needed at the client side, the client can install over the air and update automatically, they can also operate offline.  In short, Cloud apps deliver the pros of client/server and HTML apps in one package.
  • PowerServer Web is a product that deploys PowerBuilder desktop apps as native .NET or Java Web apps (PowerServer Mobile makes the same for native Android/iOS apps). It provides the necessary data connectivity, DataWindow support, transaction management, and security to the deployed PowerBuilder applications.

Cheers,

Marco

Thanks Marco,

I was seeking an guide to implement this - as Best Practice - and maybe cheapest Practice

So going for at user-count below - lets say - 30 - The RemoteApp is the way to go - don't you think.?

( No need to change any code - and should work out of the box)

Regards

Georgios
