Is there a preferred version of GPL Ghostscript that should be used for someone who is still using the Distill method with PowerBuilder 2017 R2?

Hi Bryan;

  I would recommend using the latest version of GS as it has a better postscript printer definition, compliance with newer O/S like W10 and 64 bit support.

FWIW: I am using v9.23

Regards ... Chris

Did you try the new native PDF option in PB 2017 R2?

Yes, and the latest version seems to work pretty good. We are using the native PDF but that's not an answer to my question.

We made it configurable, so we can switch the app between native and distill. Both methods work, but for some reason the PDF method seems more sensitive to network issues. Maybe how the files are being written etc. speed or whatever, but it appears the virus scanner gets hold of the file differently than Ghostscript. We have not been able to pinpoint the issue, it just appears that Ghostscript still works better. Long-term we want to only use Native PDF. So we would like to have the best possible Ghostscript version for the distill as well.
