Was wondering if anyone was using some sort of two tier security login for apps.  If so which product did you choose.

We are looking at a primary login (user name and password) then some sort of SMS/email/web service to send/noifiy a user of a key or respond to something,

then on the pb/appeon side either ask user to enter in a key or do some sort of check to verify the second tier.

Hope this makes sense

1.- On web page do login and then..

2.- Send to your mobile a random code ... ( Or Get and confirm on your application)

3.- Confirm ( on your mobile)

4.- Access your application

Yo can make a mobile application with PB android o iOS, and if you want use web services for approach new advantages.

Regards !

Hi Dave;

  Are you thinking of something like Active Directory?

Active directory would be part of it, but that would be the first tier, second tier is some sort of sms/email/web service...that a code or user interaction would be needed.

Interesting ....  Sounds like you'll need to use SMTP after the AD interaction then.

Hi David,

I have used this before. We did it with RSA tokens and with Comodo too. But you can definitely create your own using web services. PowerBuilder 2017 R2 can now consume RESTful web services which can help you accomplish this more easily.
