Good Morning!

We have a PB .Net Webservice and it worked fine with 2019R2.

We've upgraded to PB 20219R3 Build 2703 for 2 days and there have been emails about SQL Native not installed sent to us at night and these emails were sent at the top hour like 11:00 pm , 12 am then 1 am.... until 6:00 am. Then it works fine ( no error ) thru the day.

Could you guys give us some advices how to figure out this issue ?

Also, I have questions : Does PB .Net WebService handle multithreaded ? Or Does the second user/client have to wait for the service to finish the previous request ?

Thank you very much!

The .NET stuff Sybase did is absolutely not scalable or threadsafe.  This is why we made it obsolete and replaced it with the .NET DataStore runtime, which we build from the ground up to be cloud-native architecture.  I would recommend migrating any legacy PB.NET Web services to the .NET DataStore using the PowerScript Migrator.  Here is more info: https://www.appeon.com/products/powerbuilder/dotnet-datastore-rest-apis
