PB 2017 R2, Build 1756

Hello All,

I have a nested report in the Summary band of a report. Both the report, and the nested report, are using the same procedure call and arguments, but presented differently per user specifications.

The two arguments are "date" and "code". The "code" argument is always NULL in this report to bring back everything. It continues as NULL when associated as an argument into the nested report. However, the nested report is still bringing back only the first row, as if that was the "code" argument being sent in. It makes no sense to me.

I could approach this differently, but I need to SaveAs one report in PDF format. A Composite report will bring back all the data correctly, but it cannot be printed as a single PDF document.

Any thoughts?

Copy this DWO and create two new GROUPs in the copied dwo.

Try moving the report from the detail band into group 1 and the nested report out of the summary band and into the new GROUP 2.

The goal is to simulate the two nested reports from a composite dwo.

Olan,

I tried multiple variations of your suggestion and could not get it to work, but your idea helped me to figure it out.

Maybe this was obvious to others, although I didn't 'see' it at first. I left the detail in the Detail Band, and placed the nested report into the Detail band as well, but only allowing it to be visible for the last row of the outer report. A little sizing games and it works as expected. :)

Thank you!!
