Resolved MDI tabbed view - enable/disable at runtime

it appears that tabbed view is on/off at compile time only?

 

I would like the ability to set the tabbed view on/off at runtime via script, thus allowing users to decide their preferred interface.  Is this possible?

I get it may require my app to manage the MDI client manually, which i am ok with.  When i try to set tabbedview i get and insufficient rights error.

Yes. The TabbedView feature is on/off at compile time only.

If you really think it's necessary for your projects, I suggest that you can submit a ticket (enhancement requirement) to track it.

Hi Logan;

FWIW: I agree with Mike ... I can see many PB Apps that allow the App user to choose this behaviour at App start-up or via a profile (ie: INI, DB, Registry) setting to take effect dynamically. Also, to switch this feature on / off via for example a Menu setting. Just my $0.02.
