Is there a way to turn on line numbers inside the code editor or each individual script while writing Powerscript code ?

Unfortunately, not yet... https://community.appeon.com/index.php/qna/q-a/in-editor-powerbuilder2017-can-the-line-numbers-be-given-next-to-each-line

The line number & character position is displayed on the microhelp bar.

It's a shame we don't have this yet like Chris said. Maybe a sometimes useful feature is that you can use Ctrl+Shift+G to quickly jump to a certain line if you know the line number that you want to go to.

With big scripts, many times I end up copying all of the code and then pasting it in Notepad++. This has lots of advantages like line numbers and when double clicking on a variable or some text, you immediately see that text selected with a green background everywhere in the script.

Wasn't a 'New modern Code Editor' announced for PB2022?

I believe this is planned to next major release, after PB 2022.x.

Andreas.

Correct Andreas ... It's still in the PB Roadmap listed under the "next major release" section.
