Howdy All!

I vaguely remember some talk about PowerBuilder certifications coming back. Was I just dreaming or did that really happen?

If I am not dreaming, is this still on the table?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom, Appeon was considering to do this, but as we moved forward with PowerBuilder we simply didn't see enough interest in such certification.  The bigger pain seemed to be PowerBuilder training materials.  So we invested our energy to create the free online course for PowerBuilder.

Hi Armeen.

You are right, but as far as I have seen (and above all understood) the courses do not have the depth that was found in the old powersoft / sybase courses.

Try checking the old ones:

International Sybase User Group Vienna 1997 AM1

International Sybase User Group Vienna 1997 AM2

International Sybase User Group Vienna 1997 AM3 (this is like the bible)

International Sybase User Group Vienna 1997 AM4

International Sybase User Group Vienna 1997 AM5

.....

(certainly up to 28)

An adaptation and evolution of the same would be needed (adding new features).

Here we are still using them for training, but they are old and I don't have all of them and they are not found anymore ...

I agree with ATK Gimmy Susan. Even if the CPD program is not coming back, we need better training with deeper topics.
