Hi;

I have an Infomaker report that is acting up after many years. When any user, including admin, runs the exe, the Windows User Account Control pops up with "do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?" The report was made in Infomaker 11 or around there, but it is still happening after migrating that report to 19. This is only happening with one of our Infomaker reports.

Any advice to make this demon pop up go away?

Thank you!

Hi Keeley, Have you upgraded to InfoMaker 2019 R3?  In this version we signed all the DLLs so it should not say unknown publisher?  The other thing you should do is after you generate your report .EXE that you sign that .EXE.

Armeen; thanks for the reply! I am on R2 but it is weird because Appeon is showing up in the properties of the exe and we have some really old reports that have no properties and don't cause the pop-up.

Windows is strange like that... and Microsoft keeps evolving its security measures when updates are applied. My recommendation would be do upgrade to 2019 R3 and also important that you sign your generated .EXE with a trusted certificate. Then this message should go away.
