Does appeon provide this functionality to save data locally on mobile device and sync data later with main database when connection available?

Is eon_offlineex object in workaround PBL  is for that purpose ?

Hi Ravi;

  Did you apply Maintenance Release #01 (build 1681) yet to your PB 2017 IDE?

Hi Shoaib;

  Please ignore my previous post. It went to the wrong thread (my bad)!

  The full PowerServer 2017 Mobile product does support offline databases. However, the PS Mobile version that comes with the PB 2017 Universal Edition does not support the off-line DB feature.

We do have Universal edition and I though it has all the pieces ie web and mobile products. So I checked appeon site and shows three products...

PB, PB web and PowerServer mobile. Do I need to purchase "PowerServer mobile" too ?

Hi Shoaib,

Chris is right. PowerServer 2017 Mobile (PB Edition) does not support offline mobile apps. But if you would like to use another Edition of PowerServer that does support Offline Mobile apps, then you could use the Cordova objects provided with the appeon_cordova.pbl. You can use cordova-plugin-file for that purpose. You can find out more on how to use this at: https://www.appeon.com/support/documents/appeon_online_help/2016/workarounds_and_api_guide/ch03s03.html

I hope this helps.

Thanks Govinda, I'm trying to find out how offline/online updates work, Is it in framework or does developer controls it, how it syncs database with local database (ie sqllite), I would love to read more about it. If you could please point me the that direction.

Thanks so much.
