Hi!

I just successfully forked and pulled the PFC (thanks Bruce!) according to his very good instructions on his community post Quick Start for contributing to PFC.

It worked right out of the box and I can use it as expected with our current PB 2019 R2 2353 IDE. Very nice.

shortly after the pull from my github account (my first repository outside of our own house) I got the follwing Mail from noreply@github.com:

<quote>

Hi ...,

You recently used a password to access the repository at ... with git using git/1.0 (libgit2 0.26.0).

Basic authentication using a password to Git is deprecated and will soon no longer work. Visit https://github.blog/2020-12-15-token-authentication-requirements-for-git-operations/ for more information around suggested workarounds and removal dates.

Thanks,
The GitHub Team

Just curios, is there any intention from Appeon to take these changes from gihub.com into account in the IDE?

Best regards

Peter

Hi Peter,

I think this should already work.  You just copy n' paste the token string into BOTH the username and password field.  Here is relevant post: https://community.appeon.com/index.php/qna/q-a/new-github-authentication-process-for-windows

Best regards,
Armeen

Glad to hear it works!

The search feature of the website is not "Google" great. I recommend use Google to search for stuff and limit the search to the community site using the parameter "site:community.appeon.com".
