When doing a PB Classic 12.1 build from a virtual machine (I remote into it), every 30 days it requires me to check-in my PB license and get a new license.  If I, instead, stay logged directly into the virtual machine, I am never asked to get a new license.  Can you please tell me why?

Thank you.

Try generating a local license instead of a served license.

Hi Roland:

I never generate it as served, it is always local, and still have the issue.

Hi Mary Jane;

  FYI:  PowerBuilder 2017's new floating online license (aka Cloud licensing) feature would solve that issue.

Thank you for the quick response Chris.

We aren't moving to PB 2017 just yet, and I was wondering if you could explain why this happens - our Network Manager is trying to see what we can do to mitigate the problem (if that is even possible) so I can remotely log in to the VM rather than be logged in directly.

Thanks again.
