We have a need to use a standard PDF form as the background of a datawindow report so that it can be filled in with overlay-ed data. We have tried multiple approaches like converting the PDF to an image file and placing in the background. However, all approaches have led to performance issues and/or inability to print. Is the a better way to utilize a PDF as the background starting point for a report?

Hi Graham;

    Have you tried scanning the form in as an image, placing it in the background "Layer" and then moving the columns to coincide with the form?

   Attached example PDF built from a "layered" DW object & then a SaveAs (PDF!) command was used (see attached). Prints out exactly the same as well on my HP & Epson printers.

Regards ... Chris
