Hello,

I am curious if the Appeon Multi-browser plugin is supported with the auto update feature of Chrome?

Basically, could the Chrome auto update feature be causing some issues around the plugin and require it to be re-installed?

For instance, I used to be on an older version of Chrome and after the auto update of Chrome, I had to re-install the Multi-browser plugin. I'm not sure if this is related to Chrome or the issue could be around something else.

Version before update, attached.

Version after update, attached.

I had to re-install from the Control panel the Appeon plugin, then re-download and install it again to get it working.

Thank you.

Hi Sam,

Certainly changes to Chrome, depending on what Google did, might wipe things out that you need to reinstall.  And in the worst case it is possible Chrome makes some change in future that doesn't allow the plugin to work anymore.  So my recommendation is use the IWA option of PowerServer so that you no longer have browser dependencies.  Just FYI, starting from PowerServer 2021 and newer this is only way to deploy, and we renamed IWA to installable Cloud App (ICA).

Best regards,
Armeen
