Hello,

I have a datawindow with column with Arabic characters, when I do dw.SaveAs PDF!, it looks like the arabic characters are changed its order in resulting .pdf file, however when I print the same dw on PDF printer - Arabic characters look the same as in datawindow. PB2017R3.

datawindow printed on PDF printer (looks correct):

dw.SaveAs PDF! (doesn't look correct):

Is there anything I can do to make SaveAs PDF! look the same as the source datawindow?

Thanks,
Aliaksei.

Hi Aliaksei;

   Which of the following are you using for PDF generation ...

1) Built-in NativePDF feature

2) PostScript (ie: GhostScript)

3) XLSFO feature

4) 3rd party product (ie: Ayumini)

Regards ... Chris

I'm using NativePDF!, this issue is very easy to reproduce directly from dw painter:

Create new datawindow, add text control "أنا أحب كيفينيو", Set Data Export as on screenshot, then insert one row and choose Save Rows As right here in datawindow painter and pick PDF from dropdown, Arabic text in text control gets "reversed" in resulting .pdf file. But if you print this dw from dw painter, the Arabic text will be the same as in text control.

Hi ;

  It works OK using GhostScript (PostScript) ...

Looks like the issue could be with the NativePDF option - which does not work for me either.

I would suggest opening a support ticket for this issue.
