Hi,

Is HTTPS unsupported for Android on Appeon Mobile?

I am using a datawindow the field set to 'display as picture'.
When the value of this field is set to a HTTPS URL and it works fine across a range of iOS devices but does not work on any of our Android devices.
Using HTTP links works on Android and iOS

Setup

Using Powerbuilder 12.5 deploying to Appeon for PowerBuilder 2016 Build 1128.00

Android Devices failing to load image

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab

Every iOS device we tested on the image displays fine

  • iPad mini 4 Wi-Fi
    iOS11
    Workspace 1689
     
  • iPad Retina (4th gen)
    iIOS10.3.3
    Workspace 1080
     
  • iPhone 6
    iOS11.2
    Workspace 1689

Can anyone confirm that this is unsupported or do I need to change something else to get the image display on Android?

EDIT 1: 
We require this functionality in PB12.5 for the next 4 months+ at least, but just as a test we ran migrated to PB2017 with the new Powerserver and this issue still persists with this setup as well.

Hi Alan,

This issue may caused by the hotfix KB2992611, please check if your Appeon server machine has been updated with the hotfix KB2992611, if yes, please try remove the hotfix.

Hi Govinda,



I checked our main server that we were testing (Windows Server 2012 R2) and it doesn't have this hotfix listed. The other machine we tested it on was using Windows10 and had the same issue.

 Looks like you have a reproducible test case for this issue.

I would recommend that you open a support ticket for this problem.
