Dear all,
When i click in TEST LDAP SETTINGS button

on system Security under sytem security my browser is stuck

no error no ok message just stuck

i need to close the browser to continue working

the system administrator of LDAP say that the settings are ok

Hi Andres,

 

Another, less probable but still related, problem that could be the cause of this is having wrong permissions in your Appeon installation Folders/Files. Make sure you have the setup correctly.

The reason why the browser was not responding was due to that the application was trying to ping the LDAP server but it didn’t go through in time for some reason.

The possible reason might be: a) issue with LDAP Server. Please try and see if you can ping the LDAP successfully with a different tool. b) Verify if the network (such as DNS) is In good condition. You can test it for several times and see if it is slow every time.

Additionally, if you enter a wrong password, what error log do you get? Does it say something like “wrong user name or password”?

Please also verify using an account with higher privileges.

Could be a problem with permision of the appeon user in ldap?
if i put a wrong password or a wrong configuration then i get an error during test

Maybe silly, but have to tried using a different browser? Is that Edge you're using?
